"Conversations In Color" is a product of The Directors Council and its One Economy initiative. It is a platform committed to candid, forward-thinking and educational discussions concerning race-related issues in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and Iowa. This space is designed for everyone to unite as a community, learn, grow and engage in meaningful dialogue. Our courageous conversations series is made possible through a partnership with ITA Group, Inc. and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
About Journeying Toward Racial Equity
In this one-hour session, we are honored to have Leon T. Andrews, Jr., President and CEO of Equal Measure, as our guide. For over four decades, Equal Measure has collaborated with foundations, nonprofits and government organizations to apply innovative thinking and learning strategies to advance social change. Leon will delve deeply into the crucial subject of racial equity. This session will offer:
