Webspec Design Announces "GAME ON" Anniversary Nonprofit Contest

As part of their 15-year anniversary celebration, Webspec Design has launched a contest to provide Iowa nonprofit organizations with a cash donation to support those they serve in the state of Iowa. The contest, called “Game On: Celebrating Our Community,” will provide five Iowa organizations with awards, including four $1,250 awards for the runners up and $5,000 for the overall winner. Applications opened Monday, July 18 and will remain open until Friday, August 5.

“One thing I really attribute the success of Webspec to over the years has been the support of the community and our clients,” said owner and founder, Jeremiah Terhark. “That's been really how we've grown. As I’ve been thinking back to our 15 years in business to date, I think of the community that supported us and I wanted to use this as an opportunity to give back to the community that’s been so supportive of us as a business.”

Iowa nonprofit organizations who are 501c3 certified can submit their organization for award consideration at celebration.webspecdesign.com. Five finalists will be chosen from the pool of applicants to then compete in an online public vote in September and determine the grand prize winner.

In addition to the contest, Webspec Design will be awarding $5,000 to the Hoover Presidential Foundation to be used as part of the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award program. Terhark was an awardee of this scholarship in 2001, providing him with the monetary support to organize Webspec Design as a business.
