Partnership Launches 2014 Attraction And Retention Website
The Greater Des Moines Partnership recently launched a website designed to serve Greater Des Moines’ (DSM’s) prospective, returning and current residents in their search of regional amenities and ways to connect and engage with the community. Carpe DM (DSMpartnership.com) is a multifaceted website that provides resources on work, education, housing, transportation, cultural and entertainment venues, and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Carpe DM was created as a tool for the Partnership’s attraction and retention efforts but will serve a much larger purpose.
“This is much more than a website, this is a way to connect to the community and learn first-hand about what makes Greater Des Moines a best-in-class region,” said Mary Bontrager, Senior Vice President of Workforce/Education for the Partnership. “Carpe DM is an extensive look into what life is like in Central Iowa and that is an invaluable tool for growing our region and attracting and retaining residents.”
There is also an opportunity for community members to provide information to Carpe DM and become part of Carpe DM’s expanded marketing team. The Partnership encourages visitors to the site to log-in using their LinkedIn profile. Through that they are able to provide their own content to the website. The content can be about whatever they are most passionate about in the region, whether that is volunteer opportunities, entertainment activities, wellness initiatives, or general information about living in the region. Carpe DM is the place to share what makes Des Moines a fantastic place to live, work and thrive.
