Join Us for a Latin Social Dance Featuring Ballet Hispánico!

DES MOINES, IA — Des Moines Performing Arts is pleased to present a night of dancing and live music at the Des Moines Civic Center on Friday, May 4 starting at 6:30 p.m., in advance of the public performance of BALLET HISPÁNICO! The event is free and open to the public and will begin with complimentary dance lessons featuring company members from BALLET HISPÁNICO. Afterwards, guests will have the opportunity to try out their newly acquired skills with open dancing.

The fun-filled evening will feature PARRANDEROS LATIN COMBO playing salsa, cumbia and more, plus dancers from SALSA DES MOINES for the open dance portion of the evening.

FRIDAY, MAY 4 at the Des Moines Civic Center (221 Walnut Street)

6:30 p.m. | Doors Open
7 – 8 p.m. | Complimentary Lesson with Company Members from BALLET HISPÁNICO
8 – 10 p.m. | Open Dance

Guests are also invited back to the Des Moines Civic Center the following evening (Saturday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m.) for the public performance of BALLET HISPÁNICO, the final performance in Des Moines Performing Arts’ 2017–18 The Dance Series.
