Five New Directors Join 2019 Mercy Foundation Board
DES MOINES, Iowa — Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce its new board members for the 2019 fiscal year: Kelly Bucher, Susan Fitzsimmons, Dennis Menken, Marc W. Scantlin and Martin “Marty” Walsh, IV.
Kelly Bucher
Kelly Bucher is Enterprise Risk Manager at Casey’s General Stores, where she oversees the Enterprise Risk Management and Project Management Departments to help business units identify business risks and mitigation plans. Prior to this role, she led Casey’s Internal Audit Department for over 12 years.
Susan Fitzsimmons
Susan Fitzsimmons has served as Vice President and General Counsel of RuanTransportation Management Systems, Inc. since 2009. In her role, she oversees litigation and provides oversight to risk management, insurance procurement, environmental compliance, contract development and real estate.
Dennis Menken
Dennis Menken is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Principal, where he oversees investment strategy and policy direction for a multi-billion dollar portfolio and coordinates with asset management teams and other subsidiaries to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
Marc W. Scantlin
Marc W. Scantlin serves as President of Kemin Food Technologies, where he has held that position since 2015, where he leads all shelf-life, flavor, color, and food safety solutions for the North America and Latin America food markets. Prior, he served as President of Eurofins.
Martin Walsh
Martin “Marty” Walsh, IV, Co-President of Walsh Door & Security, is a 25-year veteran in the door and hardware industry. Marty started his career at Walsh in sales and moved up the ranks to Co-President in 2004, serving alongside his brother, Brian Walsh.
