DART and DMARC Partnering to Bring Mobile Pantry to DART Central Station

February 16, 2018

Beginning Thursday, March 1, 2018, the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Mobile Food Pantry will be on-site at DART Central Station on the first and third Thursday of each month.

The pantry will be open to DART riders and the general public between 4 and 6 p.m. When it's at DART, the pantry will be located on the drive behind platforms M and N.

DART is proud to partner with DMARC to bring this mobile pantry to Downtown Des Moines. DMARC identifies areas of the community to locate this pantry to help bridge gaps in accessibility to food or other goods and necessities. It chose DART to help serve people who live and work downtown, or those who live in other under-served regions who are able to access DART using public transportation.
