What Inspired You to First Get Involved with Your Chamber?
I was inspired to get involved in the Bondurant Chamber because my children were in the Bondurant School District, and I saw how amazing the community pulls together when in need. The schools are top-notch, the leadership team has a positive vision and the community members are friendly and welcoming. I saw the growth potential and the desire for the small-town feel and it was something I wanted to be a part of.
What is a Signature Offering of Your Chamber?
We give a New Member Bag to each new resident to Bondurant and New Business Bag to new businesses and new members. This bag is filled with promotional items and coupons from our Chamber members. This is a way to showcase all our members, provide a friendly welcoming gift, have a personal experience with someone delivering the item and to encourage businesses to add an item to the New Member Bag in turn marketing their business in a fun way.
What is Your Chamber’s Biggest Accomplishment in the Past 12 Months?
We have established a Membership Database platform to navigate and track our membership and attendance to assist in providing a measurable benefit summary to members. We have attained sponsorships for a Rec & Roll Trailer that will be offered to all residents and Bondurant Chamber Members as a block party on wheels for no cost, managed by the City of Bondurant.
What Initiative/Project Are You Looking Forward to in the Upcoming Year?
There are several projects we are looking forward to in the upcoming year. We currently have several development opportunities that could potentially bring several businesses into Bondurant. We have the Landus Coop Development Opportunity, the new business park buildings being developed, three certified sites in process and much more. We also have several projects in process to increase arts and culture in our community in turn hoping to stimulate economic development even further.
