What inspired you to first get involved with your Chamber?
As a community banker, I understand how important community organizations are for growth to a smaller community. Being a Chamber Member, you are a part of a group of professionals, business owners and citizens all working to improve the services and offerings within that community. Being a Member of the Chamber has allowed me to network with individuals and businesses I may not see that often and to understand their products enabling me to refer business to them.
What’s a signature offering of your Chamber?
Being a part of the Chamber has offered connections to the community as Adel continues to grow. The Chamber is very community focused with many events throughout the year. Our marketing of We Are the Adel Partners Chamber highlights faces of our members each month. Connections and relationships will continue to build Adel into a stronger community.
What is your Chamber’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months?
Completing Community Visioning and having five projects to discuss with the community has been a big accomplishment. This was a year-long process, which involved engaging the community and creating a vision to improve Adel.
Any initiative or project that you are looking forward to in 2018?
The Chamber is just starting to pull the Raccoon River Valley Trail Improvement project together to enhance the trail from the bridge over the Raccoon River to Nile Kinnick Drive. This will be a $100,000 project to improve landscaping, art presentation and bridge enhancements.

Marc Riley
Marc Riley is vice president of business/ag and mortgage lending at Peoples Bank and is board chair of Adel Partners Chamber. Marc is a graduate of Iowa State University and is an Iowa native. Along with his wife, he resides in Adel in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and enjoys traveling, golfing and attending concerts.
