Snowglobe Des Moines

This Christmas-themed pop-up bar and brunch experience is a one-of-a-kind way to get into the spirit of the season. You’ll be immersed in festive holiday décor, twinkling lights and epic selfie-worthy backdrops that will make any social media influencer swoon.

Festival of Trees & Lights 

Friday, Nov. 25 – Sunday, Nov. 27 | Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at the Iowa Events Center 
For the 39th year, the Festival of Trees & Lights creates a magical indoor holiday retreat with beautifully decorated trees, music and dance, photo ops with Santa, a scavenger hunt, crafts, activities and so much more. This family-friendly event supports the many impactful programs at Blank Children’s Hospital.

World Cup Watch Parties 

Friday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 27 | Big Grove Brewery & Hessen Haus 
Watch the World Cup via livestreaming in Downtown DSM! Food and beverage will be available for purchase; space is on a first-come, first-served basis and registration serves as entry for prize giveaways. The World Cup Watch Party Series is free and open to the public and is hosted by Pro Iowa and the Des Moines Menace.

Black Light Saturday Night Paint 

Saturday, Nov. 26 | Bottle and Bottega 
Go with the glow! This Saturday, grab a group of friends or your special someone and head to Downtown DSM to paint a snowy, wintery wonderland. Your masterpiece will give off a psychedelic glow under black light! Registration includes all art supplies, apron and step-by-step instructions from a local artist.

Thursday, Dec. 1 – Sunday, Dec. 4 | Principal Park 
Celebrate the holiday season with European culture! Shop old-world, artisanal and handcrafted products, savor delicious German foods like bratwurst and candied nuts, experience an eclectic mix of entertainment (Polka music, traditional German dance and more) and don’t forget to snag a glass of warm, mulled Glühwein while you shop! This event is free and open to the public.
