Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concert
Friday, Jan. 27 & Saturday, Jan. 28 | Des Moines Civic Center
Immerse in the wizardry of the magical world of Harry Potter on the big screen as accompanied by the Des Moines Symphony as they perform Patrick Doyle’s iconic score live. Maestro Joseph Guinta conducts the Symphony beneath the high-definition backdrop of dragon fighting, merpeople, spell casting and much more excitement.

Indulge: A Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Affair
Friday, Jan. 27 & Saturday, Jan. 28 | West End Architectural Salvage
Choose between two nights of indulgent wine, chocolate and cheese when you register for this 14th annual event! Browse the expansive collection of salvaged finds at West End while listening to live music by Mike Aceto and Jenna Huston. Craft cocktails will be available on-site as well, featuring Templeton Rye and Corralejo Tequila.

Miss Gay Iowa USofA Pageant
Saturday, Jan. 28 | Temple Theater
Celebrate the 34th year of the crowning of Miss Gay Iowa. The evening will feature a cameo by Miss Gay USofA, Tonica Cavalli, and an appearance by national top 12 Miss Gay finalist, Destiny Michelle. Iowa’s crowned winner will go on to represent the state on the national stage in a competition taking place in Dallas, TX.
