Before you embark on the eight-day Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, make sure to visit these Downtown Des Moines (DSM) bicycle-related businesses, or check them out during the event on Day 4 when Des Moines serves as the overnight town.

• B-Cycle – Utilize Des Moines B-Cycle for short trips via bike sharing. See the B-Cycle map to find a station near you.
• Chain & Spoke – A coffee and bike destination, Chain & Spoke is just west of downtown, combines a coffee shop and bike shop to appeal to cyclists who need that cup o Joe, too.
• Des Moines Bicycle Collective – The Street Collective works to ensure easy pedaling across the Greater Des Moines (DSM) community. Visit the bike shop, or take advantage of bench time, where you can find the tools you need to fix your bike during regular business hours.
• Ichi Bike – Located in the Historic East Village, Ichi Bike sells and restores bikes at their East Walnut Street location. Try out an electric bike or cruiser, or shop accessories and more.
