Iowa Craft Brew Festival
Saturday, June 6, 2026 | Water Works Park
Iowa’s craft beverage scene takes center stage at the Iowa Craft Brew Festival, returning to Water Works Park for another summer celebration. Held at Lauridsen Amphitheater in Water Works Park, the festival features unlimited samples from Iowa craft beverage producers, including beer, cider, wine, spirits, cocktails, kombucha and more. Beyond the drinks, there are food vendors, lawn games and plenty of room to relax with friends. The Central Iowa Trans Lives Festival returns for its sixth year, bringing together artists, performers, community organizations and attendees from across Iowa for a day of celebration and connection. The all-ages event features visual art, crafts, literature, music, poetry, film, drag performances, food vendors and more. It’s a welcoming space designed to showcase the creativity and contributions of transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive Iowans while connecting attendees with local resources and organizations. CarpFEST Fishing Competition

One of Central Iowa’s signature sporting events returns this week as the Principal Charity Classic brings PGA TOUR Champions players to Wakonda Club. Tournament play takes place June 12-14, with activities and events happening throughout the week leading up to the competition.
