Chidananda Dahal

Chidananda Dahal was born in Bhutan and is one of the founding and elected board of directors of the Hindu Cultural and Educational Center (HCEC) established in 2015. HCEC works for smooth resettlement transition by enhancing education of the people by conducting English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, citizenship classes and Nepali language classes. He was also a founding board of directors member of Bhutanese Community in Iowa (BCI), a nonprofit organization established in 2010 to address the overwhelming needs of Bhutanese refugees resettled in Iowa.  

Mr. Dahal has a long history of serving his community and beyond since his days living in refugee camps and now in Greater Des Moines (DSM). He works as a math teacher in Des Moines Public Schools. He loves spending time with his family, community members and teaching math at school.
