Greater Des Moines Partnership Welcomes Adair, Guthrie Counties

Adair, Guthrie Join Partnership

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 22, 2019) – The Midwest Partnership Economic Development Corporation, the economic development organization serving Adair and Guthrie Counties, has joined the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s economic development team will assist the counties on business expansion projects and relocation projects from outside the Greater Des Moines (DSM) region. With this addition, the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s economic development work now serves 10 counties representing 792,000 people.

By adding two new counties under its umbrella, the Greater Des Moines Partnership has increased its ability to work collaboratively with local partners to recruit and assist new and expanding businesses. The Greater Des Moines Partnership will represent Adair and Guthrie Counties on a national and international scale.

“We are stronger as a DSM region than we are individually,” said David Maahs, Executive Vice President of Economic Development at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “The Midwest Partnership has an excellent track record, and we are confident we can aid in their growth to strengthen our entire 10-county region.”

In addition to Adair and Guthrie Counties, the Greater Des Moines Partnership also serves Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek and Warren Counties.
