The Greater Des Moines Story is a platform powered by the Greater Des Moines Partnership positioned to share and amplify the good things happening in our region. By sharing recent business developments, highlights about community members and what new events are happening around the region, The Partnership can help build support for local business leaders, entrepreneurs and the many residents living in the region, and amplify our region’s story nationwide with site selectors, businesses looking to expand and prospective new residents.

What Types of Stories Are We Looking For?
We're looking for stories in the following categories:
Economic Development
Stories and updates focused on economic development in the Greater Des Moines region. This includes business expansions, relocations, facility openings, etc.
Talent Development
Stories and updates focused on building and strengthening the workforce. This includes updates from The Partnership on talent development programs, highlights of talent initiatives and success stories from Investors showcasing how they attract, retain and grow their talent pipeline.
Investor News
Updates, announcements and stories from The Partnership's Investors including company milestones, major achievements, expansions, leadership updates and other developments.
Affiliate Chamber News
Stories and updates from The Partnership's Affiliate Chambers, including events, announcements, initiatives or achievements.
Small Business Success
Stories and spotlights on small businesses in The Partnership's Affiliate Chamber network, startup companies, Scale DSM and Spark DSM profiles and more, as well as resources to help small businesses grow.
Greater Des Moines Buzz
Stories from The Partnership and Investors highlighting local events, initiatives and positive news from around the region.
Stories should be between 500 and 600 words and include at least one horizontal photo when possible.

Stories can be submitted by anyone living or working in the Greater Des Moines region. Whether you're celebrating your organization’s 50th anniversary or sharing something happening in the community, we want to help share the good news.
Why Should I Submit a Story?
Submitting a story helps showcase your organization, celebrate community milestones or events and share the momentum of the region with several audiences.
After Submitting a Story, What Can I Expect?
After a story is submitted, The Partnership will review the submission and respond within two to three business days. Approved stories will be featured on The Greater Des Moines Story platform and may also be shared through Partnership communications and social media channels.
By submitting a story, contributors grant The Partnership permission to edit for clarity/length and use any submitted photos.
