Seize the City 2020 will soon come to an end. For the final event in the series, Claudia Schabel will be discussing Social Justice and Equity in the Boardroom on July 15,2020. This event will discuss how young professionals can be a part of the social justice work already being done in their workplace and the power young professionals have to push forward social justice initiatives.

Top 5 for Small Business
The Top 5 for Small Business series continues on July 22, 2020. The topic will cover HR Basis and the Impacts of COVID-19. This session will cover the employment lifecycle from hiring to separation. This event will give you advice and guidance to allow you to create an action plan for your organization to be proactive and preventative for the future.
Diversity and Inclusion
The Partnership is hosting an event called How to Support Minority Owned Businesses by Creating a Supplier Diversity Program. This event will feature Kathy Porter, a nationally recognized small busines strategist and award winning supplier diversity expert. This event is sponsored by the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
Black Iowa Business Directory
The Director’s Council has released their Black Iowa Business Directory. This includes a list of minority owned businesses in DSM ranging from photographers to apparel and much more! Show your support by shopping local and supporting minority owned businesses.
