On the southern edge of Des Moines and split by a north/south unpaved public street, the land is primarily zoned for light industrial uses. Water, sewer and electricity are ready for hook-up at the site, and natural gas is available within 1,400 feet. The area is approximately half a mile from the four-lane Highway 5, under 10 miles from Interstate 35 and less than 10 minutes from the Des Moines International Airport.
Tax abatement is offered in a three-year 100% abatement, or on a 10-year sliding scale schedule. MidAmerican Energy Company offers rebates for commercial projects and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) could be a possibility, as well.
