St. Vincent de Paul News
- Chip in Fore Charity Golf Fundraiser: St. Vincent de Paul will host its annual golf outing to raise funds to help fight hunger in our community. The fundraiser will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Copper Creek Golf Course, 4825 Copper Creek Drive in Pleasant Hill. See the letter for additional details and registration information.
- Education Center: The St. Vincent de Paul Education Center, located on the second floor of 1426 Sixth Ave. in Des Moines, offers free computer use to community members during specific hours.
- Promoting Opportunity for Parents Program (POPP) St. Vincent de Paul will be offering classes to support parents who must fulfill child support obligations. POPP offers certain incentives to eligible class participants whose child support includes a balance owed to the State of Iowa. - Ride United is a pilot program from United Way of Central Iowa designed to temporarily bridge transportation gaps. Call 211 and request transportation for essential services such as health appointments, employment, housing and more. Identify that you are with the Ride United Central Iowa program. 211 asks for personal information to better understand the caller's unique situation and to ensure the most appropriate resources are provided. Translation and accessibility services are available. Please call 30-60 minutes before the desired pickup time.
