The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is held every Saturday, May through October, in the Historic Court District of Downtown Des Moines (DSM) and is truly the meating spot!
Shop diverse products including locally grown produce, seasonal flowers, farm fresh eggs and cheese, locally produced wine and fresh baked goods. The Market offers Iowa-raised meat including beef, pork, bison, chicken, turkey, goat, rabbit and lamb. The Market brings urban and rural communities together, supporting more than 300 entrepreneurial vendors from across the state.
Spanning nine city blocks, we’ve got the beet! The Market experience also includes local artists, live music and entertainment, ready-to-eat foods, special programming and learning opportunities.
UnityPoint Health - Des Moines
Stop by our tent and learn about our child life specialists and what they do during a child’s stay at Blank Children’s Hospital. We will have fun activities for kids big and small as well as some cool giveaways.

Ace Jones is a singer-songwriter from Marion. He plays acoustic, folk, rock, pop and easy listening music. He sings a variety of original songs and covers, self-accompanied by his guitar.

BYOBrass is a high-energy brass band consisting of a motley crew of dudes from the University of Northern Iowa. Playing music in styles ranging from funk, pop, R&B, Americana, jazz and techno, the band brings sassy and brassy fun to the stage. Established in 2017.

Fresh Squeezed Tunes
Abe Goldstein is a solo accordion player specializing in standards, ethnic music and kids' tunes.

Nancita Wernett is a singer-songwriter who comes performing a solo act full of original songs. She comes with a mix of folk blues, guitar, flutes and percussion.

Creating magic since the age of six, Sydney Storm has been performing professionally since high school. He enjoys twisting balloons at The Market for all the children that stop by!

The One-Woman Symphony
Merging technology with a classical violin, Genevieve's setup includes her acoustically-amplified violin and prerecorded backing tracks, giving her the name The One-Woman Symphony, as she performs music from a wide variety of genres.
