High School Students Can Register Now for Business Horizons Summer Program

Business Horizons is on the horizon!

High school students interested in participating in a weeklong summer leadership and development program can register now for the July 17-21 camp at Central College in Pella, Iowa. The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) Foundation is excited to again offer this experience for students in grades nine through 12 during which they can make connections to the business world and grow their leadership skills in a team environment. At the beginning of the week, participants work together in teams to create a solution, or new Iowa product. From there, they launch their business and take part in an investor pitch, infomercial and “best product” competition. Speakers

In the past, more than 5,000 students have participated in Business Horizons, taking part in:

  • Workshops
  • Competitions with an entrepreneurial twist
  • Teambuilding activities
  • Business visits
  • After hours activities

How to Sign Up

It’s easy to register for Business Horizons. Download the registration form and submit it along with the participation fee to ABI Foundation. If you register before Monday, June 20, you’ll pay the reduced rate of $350. Apply later and the rate is $385. You can pay online hereBusiness Horizons Students

Central College also offers transferrable college credit to all attendees for a heavily discounted rate. In addition, all participants receive a $250 renewable scholarship to Central should they wish to enroll after their senior year of high school.

If a student is interested in receiving financial assistance to attend, simply indicate this on the application under the “Financial Aid” section.
