Downtown Farmers’ Market Welcomes 24 New Vendors As National Farmers’ Market Week Begins

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 2, 2023) – The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines will introduce 24 new local vendors to the Downtown Farmers’ Market lineup beginning this Saturday in conjunction with National Farmers’ Market Week that runs from Aug. 6 – 12.

The new Market vendors were selected by a mid-season vendor jury consisting of sponsor representatives, Market partners and a select group of community members involved in The Market. All selected vendors will begin selling their products at The Market as early as Aug. 5. 

The jury has selected the following vendors for Market inclusion:

  • Elsa Stutzman Studio 
  • Spoiled Rawtten Pets 
  • CZ Grain 
  • Hoffman Farm and Forage

The following vendors have been selected to participate as occasional vendors after participating in the Spark DSM: Minority Business Incubator earlier this season. Spark DSM supports underrepresented small and/or startup businesses at The Market:

The announcement of new vendors coincides with National Farmers’ Market Week scheduled for Aug. 6 – 12. Watch for content on the Downtown Farmers’ Market social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter throughout the week and make sure to celebrate at The Market. The Downtown Farmers’ Market celebrates this week after recently being named one of the top Markets in the Midwest by Midwest Living
