Downtown Farmers' Market 

The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health celebrated its 50th season in 2025! A big thank-you to all of our visitors, vendors and partners who made this milestone season so special. For five decades, The Market has supported farmers, growers and artisan food entrepreneurs from across Iowa, creating a vibrant gathering place in the heart of the city. 

Each year, visitors can look forward to exploring an array of offerings, including fresh produce, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods, plants, flowers, artisan packaged foods, handmade art and ready-to-eat prepared foods, alongside unique attractions and activities for the whole family. 

Mark your calendars for the 2026 Market season, running every Saturday from May 2 through Oct. 31 in Downtown Des Moines’ Historic Court District. Hours will be 7 a.m. to noon, shifting to 8 a.m. to noon in October.

Winter Market Details

The Downtown Winter Farmers' Market will return for its 20th season on Friday, Nov. 21 – Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Iowa Events Center, Hall C of the EMC Expo Center.

2025 Downtown Winter Farmers' Market Hours: 

• Friday, Nov. 21: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 22: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
• Sunday, Nov. 23: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
