Downtown Farmers' Market
The Downtown Farmers’ Market has returned for its 2021 seasons as a modified, in-person Market. The Market takes place each Saturday through the end of October in the center of Downtown Des Moines’ (DSM's) Historic Court District.
On Saturday, May 22, The Market will start including ready-to-eat prepared food vendors as part of a phased-in approach to scaling up. On Saturday, May 29, Memorial Day weekend, The Market will increase its capacity to host 165 on-site vendors. All participating vendors will be rotated into The Market throughout the remainder of the 2021 Season. The scaled-back Market will continue to focus on providing fresh produce, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods, plants, flowers and artisan packaged food, handmade art and ready-to-eat prepared food to the community in a safe way.
The Market will follow COVID-19 regulations and guidelines. Per the latest CDC guidelines, masks will be voluntary for Downtown Farmers' Market attendees.
The Downtown Farmers’ Market will continuously reevaluate protocols and programming throughout the season in response to the fluctuating COVID-19 virus infection levels and vaccination rates.
Thank you for your continued support of the Downtown Farmers' Market.
