Schedule is subject to change.
Featuring over 300 vendors from 38 Iowa counties, the Downtown Farmers’ Market in Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) offers scores of tasty treats each summer on Saturdays. Visitors can enjoy locally grown produce, farm fresh eggs, baked goods and a variety of Iowa-raised meat. The adventure doesn’t stop there either. Guests can enjoy local artists, live music and entertainment, ready-to-eat foods, special programming and learning opportunities all in the course of a Saturday morning. Whether it’s seasonal flowers, locally produced wine or a new culinary adventure, there’s always something to experience at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. This event is free and open to the public.
UnityPoint Health Programming

Special Programming
Join us at The Stuffed Olive for a Bouquet Workshop using flowers provided by Market vendors! With three workshop times to choose from, select the session that works best for you, then choose your own flowers and foliage and a professional will teach how to arrange them into a beautiful bouquet.
Classes are free and include all of the makings for a bouquet. For an additional $35, you can take home the bouquet, as well as enjoy a drink of choice from The Stuffed Olive's menu.
Bell Ringing Program
Each week the Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health opens with the ringing of the iconic Market Cowbell – a lively tradition that signals to vendors that sales may begin and lets the community know The Market is officially open.
This week our Opening Bell Ringer will be Joe Gonzalez with the Latino Heritage Festival!
Come join us at 3rd and Court corner at 7:00 a.m. to Ring The Bell and open this week’s Market!
