This Week at The Market: Don't Miss the Last Day of National Farmers' Market Week!

As National Farmers' Market Week comes to a close on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, the Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health still has some fun things to do in celebration. Check out the extra on-site programming and visit the Market Information booth where you can take part in Market contests and win fun prizes! Market vendors will kick off the morning by ringing the Opening Bell at 7 a.m. at the corner of 3rd Street and Court Avenue in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).

  • AF Pottery: Art pieces are one-of-a-kind from AF Pottery. Shop mugs, vases and more at booth 4N-15.
  • Bridgewater Farm: Get your sweet corn and summer produce at booths C-114 and C-116! Don't miss out on all these fresh veggies!
  • Dumpling House: Looking for fresh, handcrafted dumplings? This Market vendor serves up flavors you won't want to miss like Pork & Cabbage and Beef & Onion. Just visit booth 4S-17 to see what varieties are available this week.
  • Jungle House Plant Shop: Booth 4S-32 has houseplants and 3D printed planters you'll love. You can also visit Jungle House Plant Shop at upcoming events like the 4th Annual Midwest Tropical Show on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Ted Lare Garden Center in Cumming. 
  • Otter Creek Produce: Purchase your summer melons and tomatoes at booths C-133 and C-135. Here's a look at their recent produce — visit them for your summer favorites!
  • Shutt's Garden Center: This St. Charles family-owned business features five greenhouses, and you can stop by booth C-120 to grab some Shutt's summer melons at The Market this week!
  • Silver K Farms: Shop local beef and pork, and pick up some free samples from Silver K Farms at booth C-127.
