"An Evening with Henry Rollins" Welcomes Artist to Downtown Des Moines
The Downtown Community Alliance (DCA) is pleased to announce that Henry Rollins will be headlining the Wonder of Words Festival. “An Evening with Henry Rollins” will take place Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sheslow Auditorium on the Drake University campus.
Henry Rollins is a spoken word artist, actor, front man for both the Rollins Band and Black Flag, radio DJ, and author of more than 25 books. “An Evening with Henry Rollins” will provide a seamless mix of humor and outrage; pop culture, political commentary and personal anecdote, healthy skepticism and rugged optimism.
Tickets go on sale today through Midwestix. Main Floor seating is available for $30 and Balcony seating for $25. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the event. Rollins will be available to sign books after the show.
The Wonder of Words Festival will take place November 2-16, 2014. The mission of the Wonder of Words Festival is to connect readers, writers, and publishers at events that celebrate reading and share the joy of lifelong learning.
