- The St. Vincent de Paul Education Center allows community members to utilize computers and the internet to check email messages, apply for jobs, etc. Open computer lab time is limited. Please review this information for specific dates and times.
- St. Vincent de Paul is currently accepting applications for positions at their thrift stores. Interested candidates can complete the application and drop it off at any St. Vincent de Paul location.

IowaWORKS will be hosting a Grab A Job Tuesday Hiring Event on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026 from 9 to 11 a.m. at 200 Army Post Road in Des Moines. Meet with the United States Postal Service who is hiring mail handler Assistants.
- PDM, 6425 SE 52nd St. in Carlisle, is holding two on-site hiring events on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026 from 4-6 p.m. at the Steel Plant. Candidates can apply on site with in-person interviews on the same day for qualified applicants. They are looking for Fabricators & Welders, Material Handlers, Parts Processors & CNC Operators, Welding Quality Control Technicians and Industrial Painters.
- Accumold, 1711 SE Oralabor Road in Ankeny, is holding a career fair on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 from 8 a.m. to Noon. They are hiring full-time, part-time and seasonal positions with opportunities available across all shifts. Most positions feature 12-hour schedules.
