IowaWORKS is hosting a Grab A Job Tuesday Hiring Event (see the flyer for more information) on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. at 200 Army Post Road featuring Black Box Trucking (recruiting Class A CDL Drivers and CDL Trainer).
- The PDI Hiring Event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 2741 SE PDI Place in Ankeny. Apply at the onsite Mobile Unit for full-and part-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers and full-time warehouse generalist positions. See the flyer for more information.
- The IowaWorks Mobile Workforce Center will be at the Norwalk Public Library, 1051 N. Ave. in Norwalk on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. Meet with local employers, speak with an IowaWorks Career Planner and search and apply for your next career. See the flyer for more information.
- IowaWorks is hosting a career fair on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026 at Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines from 2-4 p.m. See the flyer for more information.
- St. Vincent de Paul , IowaWORKS, Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Department of Corrections – 5th District are hosting an Interview & Hiring Event for Justice Involved Citizens focused on production and manufacturing careers. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online for positions with careers.deezee.com and/or pdmprecast.com/careers. St. Vincent de Paul will provide participating employers with a list of applicants who have applied for their positions and once reviewed, the employer will notify St. Vincent de Paul which applicants should be scheduled for an interview on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at Polk County River Place.
