- Macy's Overstock Event: St. Vincent de Paul - Winsor Heights location is holding a sales event on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 801 73rd St. in Windsor Heights. Cozy up with new comforters, sheets, blankets, rugs and more. See the flyer for more information.
- System Navigation/Social Services: Alex Marentes, System Navigator with Iowa Primary Care Association, is now available to assist you with applications or public benefits, substance abuse and mental health referrals at St. Vincent de Paul. You can visit Alex at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry: Mondays at the 6th Avenue location and Fridays at the Army Post location from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Education Center: The St. Vincent de Paul Education Center, located on the second floor of 1426 Sixth Ave. in Des Moines, offers free computer use to community members during specific hours. View the April calendar for open computer lab time here.
- Promoting Opportunity for Parents Program (POPP) St. Vincent de Paul will be offering classes to support parents who must fulfill child support obligations. POPP offers certain incentives to eligible class participants whose child support includes a balance owed to the State of Iowa.
