Downtown Farmers' Market: July 19, 2025

Featuring over 300 vendors from 38 Iowa counties, the Downtown Farmers’ Market in Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) offers scores of tasty treats each summer on Saturdays. Visitors can enjoy locally grown produce, farm fresh eggs, baked goods and a variety of Iowa-raised meat. The adventure doesn’t stop there either. Guests can enjoy local artists, live music and entertainment, ready-to-eat foods, special programming and learning opportunities all in the course of a Saturday morning. Whether it’s seasonal flowers, locally produced wine or a new culinary adventure, there’s always something to experience at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. 

This event is free and open to the public. 

UnityPoint Health Programming

As The Market's presenting sponsor, UnityPoint Health brings helpful wellness and prevention programs directly to The Market! UnityPoint Health will be on-site each Saturday with volunteers to support its mission of healing, caring and teaching. Stop by their booth to learn more! This week, UnityPoint Health will be onsite with team members from Younker Rehab/Physical Therapy/Women's Health.

Spark DSM Vendors

The Spark DSM Business Incubator presented by Principal Financial Group, supports small and/or startup businesses at major events in Greater Des Moines (DSM) including The Market. The Incubator’s goal is to improve access and economic growth for local small businesses across DSM.

Local charitable organizations — welcomed as Saturday Salutes at The Market — promote learning opportunities, Downtown events and community resources each Saturday. This week, check out the Saturday Salutes: 

• Polk County Master Gardeners: The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer service program where adults are given advanced training in horticulture in exchange for volunteer service to the community. The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to provide current, research-based, home horticulture information and education to the citizens of Iowa through ISU Extension programs and projects. Through their participation in educational activities, Master Gardeners also increase their own personal knowledge in horticulture. 
• Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers: Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers, Inc. (IAF) is a non-profit social and educational group dedicated to supporting local atheists, freethinkers, secular humanists, agnostics and other non-religious people. IAF is a warm and welcoming community of humanists, atheists, agnostics, freethinkers and non-theists of all types.
