Downtown Farmers Market: Produce Vendors

Every Saturday, your favorite Iowa vendors showcase their weekly offerings in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). But did you know that there are new vendors at the Downtown Farmers’ Market this year, too, including two new produce vendors? Bridgewater Farms and Clarky Park Acres offer a variety of produce options from peppers to tomatoes.

New Produce Vendors

Bridgewater Farms

Location within The Market: Between First and Second Streets on Court Avenue.

Located in southwest Iowa, Bridgewater Farms sits on 40 acres of farmland where more than 40 different organic fruits and vegetables are grown. Buying from Bridgewater Farms at The Market is an easy way to ensure you are supporting a family farm and securing safe food for your family. In the spring, salad greens are fresh every week and harvested the day before The Market. Bridgewater Farms specializes in heirloom tomatoes of all colors, shapes and sizes.

Clarky Park Acres

Location within The Market: North of Court Avenue on Third Street.

Clarky Park Acres offers seedlings in May and produce in June and July. With two half-acre garden plots at the farm, as well as a 9x12 foot garden box, Clarky Park Acres sells a variety of peppers, tomatoes, spaghetti squash, yellow summer squash and cucumbers.
