Charles Keller, M.D., Appointed Chief Medical Officer
DES MOINES, Iowa — Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Keller, M.D., as chief medical officer (CMO) – a position he has held on an interim basis since October 2017. The appointment is effective immediately.
Dr. Keller, who joined Mercy in 2012, will oversee clinical operations for the complete medical staff, including all physicians, providers, and allied professionals. His focus will remain on developing initiatives designed to improve physician engagement, patient satisfaction, safety and overall clinical quality. As CMO, Dr. Keller will also oversee five residency programs including: family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, plastic surgery, and starting July 1, psychiatry.
