This Week at The Market: Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026

The Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health returns this Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 from 7 a.m. until Noon in the Historic Court District of Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Meet up at the corner of 3rd Street and Court Avenue, where the Iowa Cubs will ring the Opening Bell. Then, explore Market vendors, enjoy live entertainment and chow down on some local eats.

Vendors to Visit

As you make your way through Historic Court District, don't forget to say hello to the local business owners who help make The Market a success, including the seven recommended vendors below! You can also check out the complete list of Market vendors for Aug. 15 here.

  • Chubby Pug Cheese Specialty Dog Treats: Find Chubby Pug Cheese outside The Royal Mile, a block north of Hy-Vee Fourth + Court. Stop by booth 4N-30 to treat your dog to Bark to School goodies and BARKcade Classics!
  • Clear Sky Flowers: Purchase a bountiful bouquet from the Clear Sky Flowers booth (4N-10). Flowers are grown in southern Iowa in Leon.
  • Crooked Gap Farm: Head to booth 2S-02 for 100% grass-fed beef, pork, lamb, rabbit, chicken and eggs. Crooked Gap Farm items go straight from the 40-acre farm to you! Soaps and jam also available.
  • Grade A Gardens: Grade A Gardens is back at The Market this weekend at booths C-200 and C-202. See all the produce goods and get ready to fill your bag on Aug. 15 with sweet corn, pickling cucumbers and more.
  • Pie Mates Australian Bakehouse: Find pies with local ingredients in varieties like Rustic Pork & Thyme, Braised Pepper Stake & Caramelized Onion, Mushroom Sun-Dried Tomato & Creamy Parmesan and sweet pies like Bourbon Pecan and Spiced Apple Crumble at booth C-209.
  • Thill's Produce: Fresh, seasonal picks are available from Thill's Produce, including Colorado peaches, Michigan blueberries and Washington cherries. Stop by booths $S-014S-034S-05 and 4S-07
  • Yer's Veggies: There are plenty of bell peppers, spinach, jicama and more at booths 3S-14 and 3S-16.

You won't want to miss this week's Spark DSM Vendors either. Located on Court Avenue between Second and Third Streets, check out Brooklyn's Designs, Luvcat Baking Co. and Cozy, Pls.

Schedule Highlights

This week, join presenting sponsor UnityPoint Health to visit with the Transplant Services team. Live entertainment from Aria and Jocelyn, Annika Wilson Music and more will perform as you shop, and you can find resources from the Iowa Cubs, Polk County Master Gardeners and Deeper Life Church at The Market's Community Corner.
