GREATER DES MOINES, IA — The Madison County Chamber of Commerce has joined the Greater Des Moines Partnership as an Affiliate Chamber. The Madison County Chamber, which is headquartered in Winterset, has more than 200 Business Members, all of which automatically become Regional Business Members of The Partnership. The Madison County Chamber joins 22 fellow Affiliate Chamber Members from throughout Central Iowa and extends the regional business community of The Partnership to more than 6,000 businesses.

“We are excited to join the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s regional network,” said Heather Riley, Executive Director of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. “Our Members will benefit from The Partnership’s services and have the opportunity to connect with business, civic and community leaders across Greater Des Moines.”

Under The Partnership’s regional member model, business members of The Partnership have access to a wide range of tools to help their business and workforce grow. Some member advantages include:

  • Business resources, including a regional “buy local” program, professional development and webinars.
  • Regional networking opportunities which include Business to Business forums and Regional lunch events.
  • Regional advocacy at the federal, state and local levels to advance policies that contribute to a positive business climate.
  • Marketing tools, including exporting assistance and a listing in the online Regional Business Directory.
  • Workforce recruitment assistance, including an online job and resume database.

The Affiliate Chambers' programming elevates the voice of small business and creates local connections for regional members to access other local businesses and the community at large.

“We are pleased to welcome the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to the Greater Des Moines Partnership,” said Justin Brown, Partner at Downing Construction and 2017 Chair of The Partnership’s Affiliate Presidents’ Council. “Madison County has a rich history and sense of place and adds great businesses, attractions, retail and recreation options to make our Membership’s footprint even more vibrant.”
