Fly Iowa Festival 2026 to Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary at Winterset Municipal Airport

The Fly Iowa Festival 2026 is set to take flight on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Winterset Municipal Airport in Winterset, Iowa. This free, family-friendly event will celebrate America 250, honoring our nation's rich history while showcasing the innovation, excitement and future of aviation.

What You Need to Know About the Fly Iowa Festival

The festival will feature an impressive collection of military and vintage aircraft, along with food trucks, local vendors, artists, live music and activities for all ages. Families can enjoy a wide variety of children's attractions, making it an exciting day for aviation enthusiasts and the entire community. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show, providing a memorable finale to a day of celebration.

Admission to the festival is FREE for everyone.

General parking will be available off-site at the Madison County Fairgrounds, with complimentary shuttle service transporting guests to and from the airport throughout the event.
