This Week at The Market: Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026

The Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health returns this weekend, and vendors are ready to welcome you to the Historic Court District for fresh, seasonal produce, fall goodies, delicious breakfast items and more. On Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 at 7 a.m., John Deere, Sponsor of Meals From The Market in partnership with DMARC, will ring the Opening Bell at the corner of 3rd Street and Court Avenue in the Historic Court District of Downtown Des Moines (DSM).

Vendors to Visit

  • Big Sky Bread Company: Made fresh daily, Big Sky Bread Company offers granola, homemade bread and breakfast cakes! Keep an eye out for Pumpkin Bread, too, at booths 3N-07 and 3N-09.
  • Brandmeyer Popcorn Company: Next Tuesday is the first day of autumn, and what better way to ring in this festive time of year than with a bag (or two!) of kettle corn? Other fallish flavors include Caramel Apple, Apple Cider Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice! Find booths 2S-15 and 2S-17 to purchase your bags on Saturday at the south end of 2nd Avenue!
  • Breakfast Guys and Gals: Booths 3N-11 and 3N-13 are serving up warm breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns so get to The Market early and enjoy a bite to eat before you shop.
  • Green Finds Cafe: Fall matcha flavors are now available at booth 4N-19! Don't miss out on the garden green goodness at The Market! There's Cinnamon Roll, Pumpkin Brown Sugar and Apple Pie ... YUM!
  • Madison County Candle Company: You've got to smell the latest fall scents from Madison County Candle Company — Pumpkin Spice, Apple Cider, Toasted Pumpkin Spice and Apple Pie are ready to turn your house into the coziest spot around! Hand-poured in Winterset, these candles are made with 100% soy wax., and you can get yours at  booth 2S-03.
  • Quilted Gardens and Nursery: Fall bulbs are here! Plant yours for spring color, including tulips, daffodils. You can also find Foxtail Lilies at the Market at booth 4N-14.
  • The Holton Homestead: It's elderberry season! Pick up some tonic from booth C-310. Other products include honey sticks, Wildflower Honey and more.

You won't want to miss this week's Spark DSM Vendors either. Located on Court Avenue between Second and Third Streets, check out HT Healthy Cakes, Francie Jean's, Women of the World and Cozy, Pls.

Schedule Highlights

Join presenting sponsor UnityPoint Health visit team members from Blank Advocacy and Outreach as well as Iowa Poison Control. Live entertainment from Will Hatchet, Aria and Jocelyn and more will perform as you shop, and you can find resources from the Polk County Master Gardeners at The Market's Community Corner.
