Ambassador, Young Professional of the Year Announced at WDM Chamber

WEST DES MONES, IA (FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2021) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (WDM Chamber) is proud to announce Frank Hanson has been named the Ambassador of the Year and Josh Gummert has been named the Young Professional (YP) of the Year. Connie Blodgett was named runner up Ambassador of the Year. The WDM Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year is determined by a point system awarded by individual involvement. The YP of the Year is determined by event attendance, guest invitations, member referrals and devotion to personal and professional growth.

“I’ve enjoyed being an ambassador for the West Des Moines Chamber,” said Hanson, an associate broker with Iowa Realty. “It has given me the opportunity to carry the Chamber’s message to the membership and allowed me to meet so many of the great businesses and people that make West Des Moines a great place to work and live.”

The WDM Chamber’s Ambassadors serve as the welcoming arm of the Chamber. This includes attending and actively participating in various Chamber events/programs, assisting with member recruitment, retention and collecting member feedback.

I am even more excited to witness all the great things he will accomplish in 2022 and beyond.” Gummert is an assistant branch manager with First National Bank.

West YP is the WDM Chamber’s program developed by young professionals for young professionals. It provides the opportunity to grow individual leadership, make an impact on the community, develop lasting connections and have a memorable experience.
