Don’t Miss These 5 Things at the 2023 Small Business Success Summit
It’s that time of year again, where small business owners, entrepreneurs and those with a dream can come together to learn from the best of the best, including from this year’s keynote speaker, Adam Davidson, an award-winning writer and author with knack for helping businesses tell their stories in a passionate way. If you’re looking for advice, insight and networking opportunities so you can move your business forward in 2023 — or learn some of the ins and outs of launching a business from those who have been there before — you’ll want to read through the five things you won’t want to miss at this year’s Small Business Success Summit:
1. Pitch Competition
Local entrepreneurs seeking to establish a new business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) will want to apply for the Pitch Competition, a new event in 2023 at The Summit. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, March 5, with those chosen being notified by Wednesday, March 15. The Pitch Competition finalists will present their final pitch to the judge panel and Summit attendees. Apply here if interested.
2. Artist Panel
Hear from a panel of Iowa artists and creative entrepreneurs during a portion of The Summit moderated by Mainframe Studios owner Siobhan Spain. Mainframe Studios is a nonprofit in Downtown DSM that works to advance opportunity in the arts for local artists and grow the creative community by offering special events and classes throughout the year.
3. Strong Company Culture = Sales Discussion
Certified Business Coach Christy Jones will discuss the importance of company culture and how it affects your bottom line. Through her position with Accelerate Action Coach, she mentors businesses leaders to help accelerate their success. Hear ideas on strengthening your team and growing your profits at The Summit.
4. 10-Year Overnight Success Panel
A yet-to-be-announced panel will come together to discuss what it is to be an “overnight” success and how it takes years to become one. Stay tuned for the panelist details, which are sure to have you on the edge of your seat!
5. Networking Opportunities
There are many events held across the region that cater to small business owners and entrepreneurs, so why should you attend this one? Well, if past events are any indication — where we’ve seen more than 250 attend any given year — it’s because this is an event where you can rub shoulders with some of the hardest working professionals in DSM. The Small Business Success Summit is a place where industry leaders inspire and in-depth conversations pay off.
Don’t miss out on the sixth annual event taking place on Wednesday, March 22. Register here for the 2023 Small Business Success Summit.
