2012 Nonprofit Forum: Don't Miss Out!

Young Professionals Nonprofit Forum

On behalf of Young Professionals Connection and the Charitable Committee, I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to give you some details on this year’s annual Nonprofit Forum. We have been working diligently to build upon the momentum and excitement of last year’s event at Jasper Winery to connect you with a wide variety of local nonprofit organizations, volunteer opportunities and the chance to network with philanthropic-minded community members.

We encourage you to bring your family, friends, co-workers and/or colleagues out to Hy-Vee Hall on Thursday, Sept. 20 for this year’s event. The evening will provide the opportunity for you to engage with 50 nonprofit organizations (up from 40 last year!) from the greater Des Moines community and learn about the many ways that you can give back to your community through your time, talents, and treasure. In addition to the nonprofits that will have a booth space, we will also be providing a nonprofit resource table with materials from an additional variety of local organizations.

Get Involved with Local Organizations

In addition to working with more than 50 nonprofits, we will also be providing information about a few phenomenal local organizations within the nonprofit sector: The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, Volunteer Local, and the Des Moines start-up chapter of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN Des Moines).

Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. The first 400 people through the door after 6 will receive some free YPC swag!

We hope that you will take advantage of this chance to connect to your passions and find your heart in Des Moines—Educate yourself. Get Involved. Give Back. We hope to see you next Thursday, Sept. 20, at Hy-Vee Hall!
