Naturalization Ceremony

The World Food & Music Festival begins with an inspiring Naturalization Ceremony hosted by the U.S. District Court. Held on the Main Stage, the ceremony celebrates individuals from around the world as they officially become United States citizens. It is a meaningful tradition that reflects the Festival's celebration of cultures, communities and the diverse people who call Greater Des Moines home.

The 2026 Naturalization Ceremony will take place on Friday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Main Stage. Please check back for additional updates.

Resource Fair

The Greater Des Moines Partnership hosts a Resource Fair at the John and Mary Pappajohn Education Center, connecting new citizens and their families with organizations and services that support life in Greater Des Moines. Participants can explore a variety of community resources and learn more about programs available throughout the region.

More information about the 2026 Resource Fair, including participating organizations and event timing, will be announced soon. Please check back for updates.
