Naturalization Ceremony

The World Food & Music Festival kicks things off with an inspiring Naturalization Ceremony hosted by the U.S. District Court! On the Main Stage attendees are able to witness individuals from across the globe become proud U.S. citizens. This heartwarming event is the perfect way to start your festival experience.

This year, the Naturalization Ceremony will take place on Friday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. on the Main Stage and will include 50 individuals from around the world who will officially become U.S. citizens.

Resource Fair

The Greater Des Moines Partnership hosts a resource fair at the John and Mary Pappajohn Education Center, providing participants and their families with the chance to explore various community resources. 

This year’s Resource Fair will take place from 7:30 – 11 a.m. A children’s activity will also be offered on-site, with adult supervision by a parent or guardian required.
