This Week at The Market: Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026
Fall favorites have arrived at the Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health. Stop by Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026 from 7 a.m. until Noon in the Historic Court District of Downtown Des Moines (DSM) to purchase mums, sunflowers and other fall flowers, in-season fruits and vegetables, flavorful cider and, of course, the start of pumpkin-flavored items!
Get to The Market early to see the Des Moines Symphony ring the Opening Bell this week ahead of two free family-friendly shows they're performing at Water Works Park, including 7 Bridges: The Symphonic Eagles Experience on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Cinematic Magic on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 5:30 p.m.

- Bluestem Coffee: You can purchase hot coffee, cold brew and bags of beans from Bluestem Coffee at booth 4S-10. This small-batch roaster offers blends like 80/35, a medium Central American blend, and Black and Gold, a darker blend for a bolder brew.
- Dave's Coffee Cake: The best way to start the morning is with a slice of coffee cake. The Dave's Coffee Cake booth (C-314) can help you out! And don't forget to order the Dave's Coffee Cake exclusive Fall Sampler 2026, featuring slices of Cherry Amaretto, Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese, Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese, Chocolate Espresso, Cinnamon Chip, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon Cream Cheese and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
- Floral Sunset Farm: The most beautiful fall floral bouquets await at the Floral Sunset Farm booth (C-131). This Dexter, Iowa two-acre farm produces locally grown flowers that are chemical-free so don't miss out on their seasonal offerings.
- Fox Ridge Farm dba Wilson's Orchard + Farm: Sunflowers or apples? Wilson's Orchard has both. Stop by booth C-124 to try a variety of hard cider made from the apples on the orchard, including the following flavors: Blueberry, Cherry, Honeycrisp, Peach and Raspberry Lemonade.
- PepperHarrow Farm: Colorful flowers from PepperHarrow make beautiful bouquets this time of year, and sunflower blooms are part of why. Don't miss out — visit booths 4S-09 and 4S-11 this Saturday!
- Stella's Garden: Iowa grown cut flowers from Stella's Garden make seasonal bouquets you'll want to take home and display. At booths 2N-05 and 2N-07, pick one up for yourself and enjoy the vibrant fall colors!
- Thill's Produce: Not only can you get pumpkins from Thill's, you can also get pumpkin shirts! Stop by booths 4S-01, 4S-03, 4S-05 and 4S-07 to see all the fall goodies.
You won't want to miss this week's Spark DSM Vendors either. Located on Court Avenue between Second and Third Streets, check out YoJuKun Japanese Cuisine, By Creative Heart, Matcha LUV and Tacos Del Robert.
