You're invited to this Downtown Farmers' Market! Get there early as Iowa Mock Trial rings the Opening Bell before exploring new vendors and shopping for Mom ahead of Mother's Day. It's going to be a beautiful day in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) so don't miss the fun on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 7 a.m. until Noon in the Historic Court District.

This week, join presenting sponsor UnityPoint Health to visit with maternity, midwives and child birth education units onsite in honor of Mother's Day! Live entertainment from Anthony Koester Music, Sarah Ennis and others will perform as you shop, and you can find resources from Iowa Asian Alliance/CelebrAsian Festival and Hoyt Sherman Place Foundation at The Market's Community Corner and special programming courtesy of Thrasher Foundation Repair and Vero Health Center. - Big Sky Bread Company: Grab some Apple Cinnamon Swirl bread at booths 3N-07 and 3N-09.
- By Wysteria: Gift a 100% soy wax candle or all-natural vegan soaps and bath salts from booth 4N-25. If you love what you see, sign up for one of By Wysteria's workshops ... There's candle making, soap making and custom perfume and cologne making. You and Mom can go together!
- Grade A Gardens: Create a meal for Mom to savor using spring produce from Booths C-200 and C-202. She'll love being spoiled on her special day!
- Hey Darling Collective: Handmade clay jewelry can be found at booth 4N-11. Shop charms, hoops, bracelets and more!
- PepperHarrow Farm: Pick up a lovely fresh lavender bouquet for Mom at booths 4S-09 and 4S-11. Head to The Market early for the best selection of blooms.
- Sisters By Heart: Booths 4S-54 and 4S-56 offer handcrafted baby bibs and baby sets for new moms.
- Yellow Canary Studio: It's pottery that's both beautiful and functional! Booth 4N-17 has unique ceramics that Mom will love, including a bunch of colorful berry bowls.
