The Greater Des Moines Story: Greater Des Moines Buzz

live music at The Market

This Week at The Market: Saturday, May 30, 2026

There's no better place to shop local for fresh fruits, meat, produce and more than the Downtown Farmers' Market in Historic Court District. On Saturday, May 30, 2026, be there bright and early at 7 a.m. when NAMI Iowa rings the Opening Bell to get things started. Visit with vendors and buy from local farmers — they're ready to welcome you to Downtown Des Moines (DSM)!

Live Entertainment

Sometimes you just need a quick break while you're shopping — and unlike other shopping venues, The Market offers plenty of entertainment to enjoy while you recharge. This week's performers include:

  • Jeff Stagg
  • Cucho Madera
  • Professor Von Air
  • Tom Hofer Productions
  • Brownian Motion
  • and BrassBlastBrassBand

Stop and listen, or if you feel inclined, dance along to the beat from these local acts. Professor Von Air will delight with balloon artistry the kids will love, too!
