This Week at The Market: Saturday, June 6, 2026
The Downtown Farmers’ Market is one of the best places to experience the incredible variety and quality of Iowa grown, made and raised products while supporting local farmers and small businesses. As a Choose Iowa member, the Des Moines Downtown Farmers’ Market helps connect Iowans directly with the people who provide fresh, nutritious, wholesome food for our families.
Many Choose Iowa members are regular vendors at The Market, and throughout the season shoppers can enjoy the freshness and flavor that comes from buying local. Look for the Choose Iowa signs and logos at The Market and wherever you shop to help identify Iowa-grown, Iowa-made and Iowa-raised products.
Visitors can also download the Choose Iowa Passport and check in at participating locations like The Market and other destinations across Iowa. As you explore these fun agritourism destinations, check in at each location to earn points toward fun prizes and rewards along the way. Find even more information on the Choose Iowa Facebook page.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Choose Iowa will ring the Opening Bell at 7 a.m. at The Market. Along with Team Blue Iowa, a prostate cancer volunteer nonprofit, Choose Iowa will offer resources and learning opportunities at The Market's Community Corner, located at Third Street, south of Court Avenue.
