This Week at The Market: Saturday, July 4, 2026
Spend part of the Fourth with us at the Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health! This weekend's Market will welcome Opening Bell Ringer Gavin Sandvig with the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs at the corner of 3rd Street and Court Avenue in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) at 7 a.m.
Schedule Highlights
Enjoy performances from live entertainers like The Wish Machine and Lani. You can find resources from Band of Iron Lions, a Historical European Martial Arts school and living history reenactment group at The Market's Community Corner where you can discuss medieval history — check out this recent video of a Band of Iron Lions German knight swinging a handheld war hammer!

Plan Your Visit
Through Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, The Market is open 7 a.m. to Noon (8 a.m. to Noon in October) every Saturday in Downtown DSM's Historic Court District. Download The Market's overview map and find out more about visiting The Market here.
This Saturday, weather will be in the low 70s at 7 a.m., and low 80s by Noon as The Market wraps up.
