Did you know that July 11 is National Blueberry Muffin Day and that July is National Blueberry Month? Spend your morning at the Downtown Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health and grab fresh blueberries from a produce vendor so you can make your own muffins from scratch! Or try the Blueberry Muffin granola from O'Brien's Own Gourmet Granola. There are a variety of blueberry-themed items waiting for you this weekend, and throughout the rest of the month!

This weekend's Market will welcome Opening Bell Ringer Ankeny Sanitation at the corner of 3rd Street and Court Avenue in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) at 7 a.m.Enjoy performances from live entertainers like Sarah Ennis and BYOBrass. You can find resources from Iowa Speedway, Iowa Cubs, Iowa Donor Network, Des Moines Prep High School and MidAmerican Energy Foundation at The Market's Community Corner.

Vendors to Visit
The Market's got an abundance of produce and prepared food vendors to choose from, so get Downtown early! See the complete list of Market vendors for July 11 here, or check out seven recommended vendor booths for this week in the list below:
- Brandmeyer Popcorn Company: Buy locally grown popcorn from booths 2S-15 and 2S-17. They've got Blueberry if you're looking for a sweet flavor, Jalapeno Cheddar for some cheesy goodness and Cookies and Cream for the chocolate lovers, among many other options!
- Breann's Bread Box: Looking for organic sourdough and other goodies like cinnamon rolls, cookies and more? See what Breann's Bread Box has for sale at booth 5N-03 — and check out the goods from a previous weekend here.
- Great River Maple: Have you ever made maple-sweetened blueberry muffins? Add some Great River Maple to your muffin ingredients to add some sweetness to your next batch! Pick it up at booth C-137.
- O'Brien's Own Gourmet Granola: It's not just Blueberry Muffin gourmet granola available at booth C-118. There are also flavors like Cherry Almond, Birthday Cinnamon Cranberry, along with 3x Protein flavors, made with all-natural ingredients.
- Penick's Sweet Corn: It's sweet corn season! You can find summer sweet corn from this Carlisle, Iowa business this weekend at Market booth 2S-16.
- Peverill's Apiary: What can you find at the Peverill's Apiary booth? Raw honey, honey snack mix and even honey lemonade! Just head to booths C-119, C-121 and C-123 to find the latest honey products.
- Wilson's Orchard & Farm: Blueberries along with fresh cherries, black raspberries and more are available at booth C-124. Don't they look fresh and delicious?
