Downtown Outdoor Winter Farmers' Market to Return for 2022 Season, Opens Vendor Applications
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 10, 2022) – The Downtown Winter Farmers' Market presented by UnityPoint Health — Des Moines has announced it will return to Downtown Des Moines (DSM) with an outdoor market in November and December. The Winter Market will take place in the Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We are excited to bring the outdoor Winter Market back to Downtown Des Moines,” said Megan Renkel, Manager of the Downtown Farmers’ Market. “This event will give residents and guests an opportunity to purchase fresh, locally farmed and created products, and will give new and returning vendors another opportunity to share their expertise with the community.”
Vendor applications are now open for those interested in participating in the 2022 Winter Market season. Winter Market vendors will have seasonal local produce, meat, cheese, eggs, jam, jelly, salsa and many other varieties of value-added farm food and local art available for purchase. There will also be breakfast and lunch street food options on-site. Aspiring vendors can send in the application on The Market’s website. Applications will close on Sunday, Oct. 23.

The Market’s traditional outdoor season continues throughout the months of August, September and October each Saturday morning in the Historic Court District. The Market takes place from 7 a.m. – Noon with October hours of 8 a.m. – Noon.
