Ankeny Chamber Q&A

Why should someone join your Chamber?

The Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce gives area businesses a place to promote their products and services. The Ankeny Area Chamber highlights businesses in various mediums including radio, electronic newsletters, social media outlets including Facebook and Twitter along with local newspaper outlets in print and electronic arenas.   Additional marketing opportunities are available through sponsorships or attending the many events held throughout the year. By being a new business in the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce you will be introduced to like-minded people who appreciate your hard work and become your next best customer.

What is your Chamber’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months?

Membership growth is at an all-time high at the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce. We surpassed the 1,000 member mark early in the year and continue to grow in strength each day. In addition to having a healthy membership, the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the largest community celebration called Ankeny SummerFest

Any initiative or project that you are looking forward to in 2017?

The Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors work diligently each month on the 3 goals and initiatives they set forth early 2017. Promoting Economic Development is top of the list.  The Ankeny Area Chamber works with the City of Ankeny and Ankeny Economic Development through Ankeny Alliance, a collaboration to provide positive progress for new and existing businesses. The Ankeny Area Chamber is strengthening the business climate through education and communication to promote and market businesses for target growth. The last initiative is to enhance the quality of life in the Ankeny Area through hosting family friendly events throughout the year.

What upcoming events should people watch for?

The last celebration the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce looks forward to hosting is the Christmas Luncheon being held on Thursday, December 7. This festive luncheon is open the community. Come join us!
