Greater Des Moines Partnership to Host 2025 Raising Capital for Startups Seminar

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (March 31, 2025) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a Raising Capital for Startups Seminar on Thursday, May 1 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event will take place at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust Street in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).  

Topics covered in the seminar will include: 

  • The Process of Raising Capital 

  • The Financial Model 

  • The Capitalization Table 

  • The Pitch 

  • The Term Sheet 

  • Alternative Forms of Capital  

"We’re proud to bring back the Raising Capital Seminar as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs," said Diana Wright, Startup Community Builder at The Partnership. "Access to funding is a critical part of the startup journey and this event helps founders explore the many paths available so they can make informed decisions that support their growth." 

The Partnership will offer a bonus option for entrepreneurs and businesses to receive a free one-hour SWOT analysis of their business as they prepare for funding from a panel of startup experts. Once registered for the Raising Capital Seminar, participants will be sent more information on the analyses closer to the event.
