Inclusion Summit Announces Keynote Speaker and Programming
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Oct. 10, 2024) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the keynote speaker for its 12th Annual Inclusion Summit scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8. The event will take place from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the FFA Enrichment Center. This year’s keynote speaker will be Troy Cicero, President and Chief Skill Officer, MulticultuREAL Communications, Inc.
Cicero, President of MulticultuReal® Communications, Inc. is a dynamic, engaging and highly effective consultant, speaker, facilitator and trainer who established his company in 1994 with a compelling vision – a global leader in creating environments of inclusion. Affectionately known as “America’s Chief Skill Officer,” Cicero has created a formula and framework for individual and institutional accountability which encompasses eight strategic focus areas: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Cultural Competence, Leadership Development, Service Excellence, Team Building, Conflict Resolution, Change Management, and Emotional Intelligence. Cicero’s clients include corporate, healthcare, education, banking, manufacturing, government, law, law enforcement and nonprofit organizations.
Additional programming for the Summit will include expert-led panels such as a CEO Panel, a Health Equity Panel and a Young Professionals Panel. Amy Liu, Presidential Advisor and Senior Fellow at Brookings Metro, will deliver a presentation. The day will also feature an Awards Luncheon honoring the 2024 Inclusion Award winners, along with a celebration for the 2024 DEI Management Certification honorees. The event will conclude with "Coffee and Connections," a networking opportunity for attendees, featuring treats from local businesses.
