Greater Des Moines Partnership To Host Public Policy Issue Forum On Health Care

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Sept. 28, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced its next Public Policy Issue Forum will be on the topic of health care on Thursday, Oct. 19 from Noon – 1 p.m. This is one of a series of public policy forums throughout 2023 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM). Each forum includes a conversation of experts who will provide insights surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue.  

The Public Policy Issue Forum on health care will feature a panel discussion on the status of Iowa’s health care system and the programs and policy initiatives to address the industry’s workforce shortage. Confirmed panelists include: 

  • Mike Wegner, MercyOne 
  • Phil Blumberg, Des Moines University Clinic 
  • Dr. Anthony Coleman, Broadlawns Medical Center 
  • David Stark, UnityPoint Health, Moderator
