GREATER DES MOINES, IA (June 16, 2025) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the promotion of two team members.

Courtney Shaw has been promoted to Chief Communications and Engagement Officer. In this expanded role, she will continue to oversee The Partnership’s communications and marketing efforts while also taking on leadership of the events team and Investor relations work. This transition will strengthen the integration of storytelling, events and stakeholder engagement. Since joining The Partnership in 2019, and most recently serving as Chief Communications Officer, Shaw has played a key role in shaping and sharing the Greater Des Moines story. She has led strategic public relations and marketing efforts that have elevated workforce and economic development, amplified community impact and brought regional initiatives to life through storytelling, branding and engagement. Her role will further strengthen the connections between The Partnership’s work, its Investors and the broader community.

Alicia Chilton has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Since joining The Partnership in 2021, and most recently serving as Senior Director of Marketing, Chilton has led strategic efforts to elevate marketing and advertising initiatives around talent and economic development with each delivering strong results. In 2025, under her leadership, campaigns have welcomed more than 220,000 users to The Partnership’s websites and generated 265 qualified talent pool prospects, individuals actively interested in learning more about living and working in Greater Des Moines through the Do Something Greater website. In Chilton’s elevated role, she will continue to lead and enhance The Partnership’s marketing and advertising work for both economic development and talent. Her strategic leadership has been essential to The Partnership’s brand and impact.

“These strategic promotions reflect the leadership, vision and dedication that Courtney and Alicia bring to our organization each day through driving results and consistently modeling our organization’s core values,” said Tiffany Tauscheck, President & CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “Their expanded roles will strengthen our ability to share the region’s story loud, bold and broad, serve our Investors, Affiliates and Members and elevate the impact of our work.”

“I’m honored to continue to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team,” said Shaw. “Greater Des Moines has so many great stories, and I’m excited to help bring those to life through continued connections with our Investors and communities. I’m looking forward to what we will accomplish together for our region.”
